LA DOLCE SILESIA!

Design for the Silesian Cluster of Design pavillion in Milan

We were commissioned to prepare the design of the Silesian Cluster of Design pavilion for the Ventura Lambrate international festival.

Silesian Cluster of Design gathers 34 members of various industries connected with design: designers, architects, innovative companies, research units, business agencies and non government organizations.

The graphic design was planned to remain consistent and coherent for the companies representing various fields of design. The whole project was supposed to acknowledge the character of the Silesian region. Body of the pavillion was designed by architectonic studio Zalewski Architecture Group.

Our solution: On the communication level we decided to create the corporate code, helping to describe particular Cluster exhibitors. We designed pictograms representing each company and we created a font for descriptions. Elements of illustrations underline the regional identity: on the one hand, the mining and industrial traditions, on the other the richness of the natural resources of mountain regions. We aimed to show how big and important is Silesian Cluster of Design potential, and we wanted to achieve it with the eclectic convention we agreed to.

La Dolce Silesia pavillion with our design was shown not only in Milan, but also during many international design events like WROCLOVE DESIGN in Wrocław, Design Udomowiony Festival or at the exhibition in Cieszyn. Moreover, La Dolce Silesia posters were invited for the international poster biennale in Bolivia - La Bienal del Cartel Bolivia BICeBé - and for the Węgiel Boom exhibition in Katowice.
