History: search!

Educating portal about history

We have created visual identity, an educational portal, a promotional spot, a series of social media creations, as well as gadgets promoting the project “History: search!”.The project is addressed at secondary school and high school students, as well as teachers and animators of culture.

We wanted to demonstrate that history can be more than lessons and textbooks. It can be explored in numerous ways. Hence, apart from the articles describing events and historical figures, we refer to the literature, film, architecture, music and museum objects, which are available in the KNOWLEDGE tab.

The PLACES and REGIONS tabs are important parts of the portal. With the help of our readers we would like to know and share the history of Polish regions, important at the local level, but often not known widely. We encourage visitors to perform their own independent historical research and to report events and places (using a form), which are worth mentioning on the pages of our portal.

HISTORY:SEARCH! is a nationwide educational project conducted by the National Institute of Museology and Collections Protection with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Its aim is to familiarize with the Polish history and cultural values of our heritage. The project addresses mainly young people, but also museum workers, teachers and all lovers of history.

The HISTORY:SEARCH! project assumes educational activities in museums, schools and libraries, such as museum lessons, urban games, contests, quizzes, science festivals. As an institution who usually works with museums, we are banking on their special commitment. Having the museums and their collections in mind, we created the OBJECTS and PAINTINGS tabs, where users can fill in a form to submit items related to the history of the region or the entire country.
