New website

We created a new internet service, integrated with online ticket-selling system and internet shop for the National Theatre.

Our task was to design a coherent image of the National Theatre and easy access to information about it as well as to develop the system of visual identity of the Theatre.

The visual dimension of the service is a continuation of the Theatre`s identity. The selection of lettering and colours as well as visual concept of the service in general are in conformity with what has been used in the Theatre for years. On one hand, the project becomes more transparent as to be able to contain the variety of content and on the other clearly builds the image of the Theatre.  

The internet service provides users with fast access to the content of the website: an up-to-date programme of the Theatre, information about plays and performances, casts, the utterances of actors, writers and directors. The service is fully responsive. It adjusts to screens of different devices – computers, phones and tablets. The important advantage of the service is the possibility of purchasing tickets online.

In this project, our task was also to develop the solutions for the creation of content so that they would create the norms for respective visual and functional elements of the service. Among others banner and trailer systems as well as the patterns of performance covers. We have created ‘the electronic book of norms’, which helps editors in further work with the service to assure that the standards, developed in the initial project will not stop functioning.As far as CMS is concerned, the system is a friendly tool and work environment for the team of editors, which creates new articles, information and materials on daily bases. We have implemented original, technological solution in this project.

‘The interest in this functionality exceeded our wildest expectations as early as on the first day of its operation. We have noticed, that spectators started using online ticket-selling system immediately’ – Agata Sierbińska from the National Theatre said. The service in its beta version started on September 1, 2014. It passed all last tests in October.
